PNC AGM Student Travel Grant

Purpose
 

​This grant will provide financial support for a select number of students travelling to the annual SETAC PNC AGM. The grant will be designed to offset travel and/or accommodation costs for students, with the goal of increasing student attendance at the meeting

Up to 6 x $350 cash grants will be awarded (max $2100 total annually)

Criteria
 

Applicants must attend the annual AGM for which they are applying and be an active paid member of the PNC (membership can be purchased via PNC website)

  • Priority will be given to:

    • students attending the AGM from out-of-province or living a significant distance (e.g., >8hr drive) from AGM host city

    • students submitting abstracts for poster or platform presentations

  • Students who are ≤ ~3 hr drive from the AGM host city are not eligible for this award

  • A signature form can be found here, and must be signed by the student applicant and their supervisor. The signed form will be uploaded on the application page.

  • The $350 must be used towards travel and accommodations*

 

*Depending on how student/supervisor arrange conference costs, this money may go directly to the supervisor or to the student. Funds will be dispersed after a discussion between the PNC representative, student, and supervisor to ensure the funds are being used for the correct purposes.​
